We ate the traditional 'Rice Table' with 3 other folks and had a really great evening. The food, small portions of a lot of things, was yummy, the atmosphere inviting, and the service excellent. A really fun experience. More

If you are in Amsterdam definitely come here for a true rijstaffel experience, and come hungry as there is a lot of food, and it is excellent. Well worth the money, which is not too pricy. Quite enjoyd the atmosphere, service and food - nothing but good things to say More

We arrived without a reservation but were able to be seated within 15 minutes. I would definitely make a reservation the next time so as not to miss out on having supper here. The three of us had the "table" which at 30€ pp which is more than we would normally payfor entree but the amount of food that came... More

Went here with colleagues for the evening. Was not sure what to expect as had not been to an Indonesian restaurant before. The plentiful staff were all very friendly though not the most attentive. We were slightly crammed in but we were a large group so that was posibly to be expected. Took a little while to get drinks ordered... More

We went here for lunch becasue it had such a good reputation but at lunch they just shoved the supposed 6 course meal into one dish ( a large bowl) so that all the flavoars just mushed together. There was none of the experience of many small dishes served in turn. We had ordered the only price fixed lunch on... More

When I came to this place, I expected some sort of authenticity since it claims to be the "oldest" and "most famous" Indonesian restaurant in Holland. Unfortunately it wasn't authentic, the fried rice was dry and bland. The tofu in the gado-gado was also dry and hard. The only good thing were the oversized prawn crackers. I have been to... More

We came for the rijstaffel, and while it was tasty and an overall enjoyable experience, we weren't blown away. The place was packed, but we had a reservation and were quickly seated. The servers were quite friendly. Tables are very close together, which I'm not a fan of. Service was swift, with our food arriving no more than 5 or... More
