Whilst having a beer, my husband was reading our guidebook and it recommended Cafe Bern, it was close-by, so we headed over there when we began to get a bit peckish. We just came in for a beer, but are planning to eat at Cafe Bern next time we are in town. The food smelled amazing! and it looked amazing too! The fondue looked especially good. We tried a couple different beers and sat at the bar. Good brown pub, in a good area with other cafes and bars nearby.

Amazing Fondue, meat, salads and drink, but book!!! Nicest food in whole of Amsterdam !! If u wana get away from the stag n hen dues this is the way to go ! But staff need to feel more welcoming and need to smile!! P.s good prices !!!

Café Bern is a master within its limitations. It's officially a café, but every one comes here to enjoy the 2 maindishes: Swiss cheese fondue and entrecote in garlic sauce.
