My husband and I had dinner on May 3 here, anticipating a wonderful meal, based on a person's recommendation. The ambiance was quite lovely,somewhat rustic Dutch flavor. Service was mediocre. The food was okay, but not as good as we expected, especially for the money. Would not go back, as there is so much more to choose from in Amsterdam.

When we arrived, so did a group of 37. We expected slow service and received anything but. The servers were very attentive, food was delicious and the restaurant lived up to it's reputation.

Well worth seeking this great restaurant out - just walking there takes you through parts you might not have visited in your Amsterdam tour. We are always greated as friends at Greetje's! Owner Rene and his staff is marvelous people, service minded and very including persons! The food is excelent, and please try the starter dish which is a small taster of all the starters on the menu - for two persons and really great!
