Visit restaurant 07-02-2012. Excellent service and outstanding welcome, that was very parsonally. Nice atmosphare in a very small place. Restaurant is like a living room. Dinner was selected by the Chef himself and we had no influence at all. Somellier was not able to show a huge vinecard a it was limited to mainly locally wine. The choosen wines for... More

They saw us arriving through the window and ran to the front door to open it and welcomed us. There was the chef himself, shaking our hands. We had never been here before. The food was magnificent, the foie gras (one of the five hors d'oeuvres) alone was worth the trip. The choices on the cheese wagon were explained very... More

I have been to Le Pont de Brent many times--both with Rabaey as the chef and now with Decotterd as the chef. I have never been disappointed. Decotterd is brilliant and he has maintained the high standards of Rabaey. The food is brilliant: bright, pure, fresh, light and always interesting. There is no artifice here. The precision of the cooking... More

The actual date of visit was an evening in April (not June as the entry suggests). The occasion was a post-wedding dinner (our Swiss wedding) hosted by 'yours truly' for my new wife and twelve of our close friends - Swiss, Americans, Norwegians. I booked the restaurant seven months in advance and mentioned to the Chef's wife that while I... More

+ The food was excellent, only fresh ingredients of the highest quality were used. The mixture of flavours and textures was perfect. Wine list was very well constructed, mixing local and foreign, big and small, and all of it presented by a very professional, passionate and competent sommelier. - We arrived 30 minutes before our appointed time and were greeted... The "menu gourmand" was one of the highlights of our stay in Switzerland, and while it's certainly not cutting-edge, the quality of ingredients, skilled preparation, and great attention to detail made for an exceptional meal. We found the staff to be professional yet friendly and completely unpretentious. Wine and cheese recommendations were spot on, as you'd expect. Given the quality,... More

We went to Le Pont de Brent last week with a couple of good friends to celebrate my wifes Birthday. My wife is a chef so I had wanted to take her somewhere nice and had found the restaurant with a Google search and booked it up. I later read a reveiw on this site saying that the staff were... More

Reservation required (well ahead). One of the best restaurants I have visited. You and your taste bulbs will be spoiled from the second you arrive. Le Pont de Brent is a must visit!

We enjoy going to interesting, high end restaurants. We try to book the best as we are in search of the interesting and creative touch. We also enjoy the classics too. Having said that, the chemistry masters at El Bulli or Fat Duck hold minimal allure for us. Instead we seek cutting edge kitchens in NYC, London or Hong Kong... More

The four of us visited the restaurant on the 28th of Augsut 2009, looking forward to a lunch at least as good as the food we have had in the 9 other 3-Michelin star restaurants we have been so far. Helas, we were disappointed. The food is indeed excellent, but the attitude of the maitre d'hotel spoiled our experience. We... More
