My girlfriends and I ate here in 2010 at the suggestion of a local woman in Interlaken. It was around the holidays and the atmosphere was so picturesque and beautiful. The service was ok, but the fondue was amazing. It was a fun evening!

It's definitely not a restaurant that is easily accessible. After finally located the restaurant, we felt that the quality of the food may not be worth the trip!
We ordered the traditional cheese fondue (CHF23 for a person's portion) and it comes with just the bread. Felt that the alcoholic taste overshadowed the cheesy taste. Probably not so suitable for...

Maybe it was the German to English language barrier that made our waitress service kind of awkward and confusing, but overall I really enjoyed the food.
I got the Rotsci with veal links, bacon, and fried egg and it was like eating an amazing American delicious breakfast for dinner.
My friend got one of the fondue items and it was...

The fondue was one of the best we had during our trip. The spaetzli was prepared the way my grandmother made it. Our server was a very efficient 60ish women. loved her.

Just fantastic

A great little place - authentic Swiss cuisine. It's casual and friendly. It features fondue, with a traditional Swiss menu -- and meats and vegetables in season. A cute cozy place that was decorated for Fall when we dined there.
I went here solo for dinner and was pleasantly surprised with the variety of dishes and the quality of everything I ate. The atmosphere is cozy and the place is filled with little creches and other kitzchy (but somehow...

We went here the first night in Interlaken and were delighted with the menu, the food and the service. Had fondue and rosti, both very good. The atmosphere is very comfortable but not fancy and the prices were not out of line. The restaurant is in the Hotel Interlaken.
It isn't the easiest to locate but it sure is worth the trip! Restaurant Laterne served great local dishes (the cheese fondue was good) and the waitress provided excellent service. Atmosphere was good and I would definitely recommend this place to tourists who want to experience what real Swiss dining is like. More often than not, you get locals coming...
