This remote place is sure worth to go to. Situated in the harbor area of Basel in a old house the staff welcomes you very friendly and sets the tone for the evening. Good food for very reasonable price, nice wine selection and attentive yet undisturbing waiters help you enjoy your evening.

You don't expect to find such a beautiful location in the middle of a rather greyish neighborhood near the swiss/german border. The former children's home (hence the name Schifferhaus) is surrounded by a small but pleasant park.
