We shared an appetizer of polenta with radicchio and truffles (just ok – not much flavor) and then a primi of a lasagna with scallops – very good. We each had a main course, my husband had baby pork (including a large piece of gristle and a fair amount of fat which were both surprising) and I had beef filet... More

A lot of admiration for an exceptional dinner. Me and my mother highly enjoyed our dishes, foie gras and fish inspired lasagnette as a primi piatti and tonno as a main course - incredible taste in an imaginative presentation. A restaurant where I would like to explore all its surprises.

This was my wife Nancy and I third visit to Antica Trattoria San Lorenzo. As the last two dining experiences, it was extraordinary. This trip to Perugia was specifically planned to fall on our Wedding Anniversary so that we could have our celebration with chef/owner Simone. He and his charming wife Monica greeted us with such enthusiasm knowing that we... More

In piazza Danti, opposite the cathedral, this small restaurant is listed in the Michelin guide 2012. You are courteously welcomed by the maître d'hôtel, who instantly puts you at ease, & helps you knowledgeably & patiently through your meal selection. There is no wine list, but suggestions are made according to your preference for a light or robust local red... More

Lovingly prepared food is served with attentive service. Down side: the place was freezing in February--maybe get some space heaters? The bread, homemade, were charming but could have been better. The little extras like a vegetable soup and after dinner sweets were a nice touch. This place is downstairs, which means that it doesn't have windows. Such a pity.

My wife and I will never forget our truly extraordinary dinner at Antica Trattoria San Lorenzo for our Wedding Anniversary. As long time travelers, we both agree that it was the best meal of our lives. Chef Simone and his charming wife made us feel so special throughout the numerous amazing courses that he brilliantly prepared. Each course was accompanied... More

We were here while while all Italy was under a cold spell and we understand heating is expensive, but in a top restaurant like this it should be warm and it was freezing. The food was very mediocre and certainly does not earn a Michelin star. The service was friendly but the server seemed to be under pressure from the... More

I love the creativity of this chef. I came here in the fall of 2009 with a local friend and the food was delicious. I came back this summer, and again found the food to be delicious. The touch is a little less traditional and a little more modern. Each course was unexpected and yet light and balanced and beautiful... More

After reading the many reviews and hearing about the beautiful location of the Antica Trattoria San Lorenzo, we wanted to go try the place out and honestly it was really worth it. Excellent cuisine, one of those you don’t forget easily. Each course is taken care of in the every detail, both in the amazing flavours and in the presentation... More

I go to Perugia for business 3 times a year. A collegue of mine suggested this restaurant in the center of town. Pretty restaurant, small. The menu is very pretentious, so are the prices. One starter, one beef main course with greens on the plate , one desserts, water and a glass of red Umbrian 80 some Euro. Not worth... More
