As an American studying abroad in Siena, I went to Boccon del Prete in search for some resemblance of a Thanksgiving dinner. I was not disappointed! The meal began with kale bruschetta, followed by ricotta ravioli in a pumpkin sauce. The main dish was the star of the night: roasted turkey in the most delicious sauce I have ever tasted,... More

Wonderful meal in an unpretentious Siena restaurant. We had heard about the restaurant, walked by it, and read the reviews. Boccon del Prete is a really good Sienese and Tuscan restaurant. We arrived around 8:00 without a reservation - thought this would be ok, since it was almost November. Wrong - make a reservation. We were seated at a table... More

This food is typical to Tuscany. It was good, but you could get the same types of dishes at many other restaurants in the region, including Siena. For this reason I don't feel bad in recommending that people don't go to this restaurant. There I encountered one of the rudest waiters/managers I have ever met. Following a good meal there,... More

We liked this restaurant; really good food, and pleasant staff. Gets quite busy - we didn't book, but others later were sent away. Worth a visit - and we will return one day.

We sat in the basement near the kitchen which was nice. The food was outstanding and the service was very good. We would eat here again.

Try the cinghale - it's wild boar with pasta. Also the local pici pasta with black cabbage and breadcrumbs was amazing. The sea bass with vegetables was good - the pork a little salty. Wine was tasty and a good value. Overall a nice dinner. The waiter was helpful describing dishes to us and generally friendly.

The owner of our B&B recommended this restaurant and we absolutely loved it. It's a small, reasonably priced, typical Sienese restaurant with two rustic dining rooms. Our waiter suggested to order raw tuna with local spices for a starter & pici with porcini mushrooms-it was excellent! For main course we had sliced pork with roasted potato-simply perfect. We came the... More

This little priestly morsel, ( literal translation) is a great find. I have had several meals here. Take you time, enjoy the specials and the wine. The price is moderate, the food spectacular, the help are Italian! It is not a tourist place and they don't cater to those in a hurry , but if you have the time and... More
