This little restaurant is around the corner from the arts academy and gets a lot of faculty . The food was great, servers very attentive. Fun was the bread arrives in a paper bag.

Me and my partner visited this restaurant during our trip to Florence and we were blown away by it. The atmosphere and staff so friendly and the food divine. My partner had the fiorentine steak and I had black truffle spaghetti, they were truly culinary delights. We loved it so much we ate here twice during our 5 night stay....

Arriving in Florence late in the afternoon, we asked our hotel for a restaurant near by. The holte suggested Ristorante Accademia in Piazza San Marco a short walk away.
We arrived shortly before 7PM and were advised they were not quite open yet. We were welcomed to sit down, have something to drink and wait, but elected to come back...

Fabulous food (definitely try the mushroom strudel!!) but really what stood out was the warm welcome and service. As a single traveler it can be a little weird dining alone...but they treated me like family!
Here we are all a big family! Some of our staff are real family members, others we have "adopted" and are just like family to us, and so many of our clients just slot right in to the situation. We are delighted that you enjoyed it so much. Thank you.

We ate here on our first night in Florence and were not disappointed. The service was a little slow at times, but the waiters were very friendly and helpful and the portions were substantial, so it worked out quite well!
I started with tripe gratin from the specials menu; it was the first time I'd tried tripe and it was...

Brilliant first night in Florence, this restaurant was just round the corner and we decided to give it a go. It was very busy on a Wednesday night but we got a table for two without a reservation. It was just a lovely experience from start to finish, lovely service and very helpful staff, the best homemade pasta. The desert...

Aldo makes all the desserts, and has a fine hand. We make them all fresh and so don't over exaggerate numbers, as the next day we will be making some different items. But we always have something good to finish you meal with! So pleased that you enjoyed your experience.

On a recent Thursday evening I made an early exit from a conference to decompress and have a bit of dinner, and fortunately my hotel recommended Accademia. It is a busy, but friendly and attentive, place on Piazza San Marco, drawing a crowd of both tourists and locals. A largeish bus-tour group occupied a portion of the place when I...

Booking is always a good idea - we really dislike having to turn anyone away. And we are delighted that you enjoyed the company of your fellow diners - that is almost a must in Italy. We very much look forward to your next conference - and visit to Ristorante Accademia.

We had an extraordinary dining experience at this lovely, neighborhood place in San Lorenzo. Superb food, service and reasonably priced wine. Everything was just as it should be for a perfect causal Florentine dinner. Also reasonably priced higher end wine- we had a amazing 2005 Barolo for E40. Highly recommended.
A good Barolo is worth its weight in gold! Thank you for stopping by!

Everything on the menu is "a la cart" and pricey. Food is good, but not great. They charge you for utensils!
"À la carte (pron.: /ælæˈkɑrt/)[1] is a French language loan phrase meaning "according to the menu", "
Yep, we have a menu, with prices, and your order from it!
Ahem - we do not charge anyone for "utensils"! We do have a "cover charge" per person of €2.00. We note that you are from the US. We do not have...

My wife and I were on vacations, we come from Mexico and we were looking for some traditional home-style Italian restaurant. This restaurant was recommended at the front desk of our Hotel, the Due Fontane. They told us that many locals use to eat there, and that we were going to pay exactly for what we ask for. So we...

We are delighted that it worked out for you! Our staff are fantastic - within our team we can cover about 12 languages! We know that real Mexican is good cuisine, so we take it as a compliment that you enjoyed our food so much!
