Everybody mentions "Mama" but what they say is true. The food is delicious, the decor comfortable but Mama makes the evening. I managed to get several recipes from her and she even brought out the exact carciofi that I needed to buy to make her terrific raw artichoke and parmesan salad. Pandemonio is on the Oltrano side of the Arno... More

We have been there las week for dinner. Restaurant was empty, but we have been warmly welcomed by "mamma", or Ms. Giovanna. Restaurant is nice but simple, but the dinner was fabulous! try the Antipasto and teh Spaghetti with Bottarga. Oustanding! Worth the visit, one of the best restaurants in Firenze!! More

We had dinner here twice -- a Friday evening when it was oddly deserted and a Monday evening when it was quite crowded. Both times the meal was excellent and we had a wonderful time. Note: the Antipaso Pandimonio (various assorted appetizer) is for at least 2 people. The staff was very helpful in making sure my 86-year-old, somewhat infirm... More

Can't say enough wonderful things about this restaurant! We sat in the little courtyard and basically left everything up to our hostess (I think she was one of the owners) to decide what food and wine we should order. She was so funny. She said if we did not like her choice, we do not pay and she will drink... More

Dinner with brother, mother and sister-in-law, charming surroundings, excellent service, tremendous food & fine made limoncello - the best dining we've had in 10 days, made immediate reservations for our last night's dinner. More

We had a blast at this family owned and run trattoria. Huge steaks, yummy wine, attentive staff and as our table became the only patrons left in the building, out came the limoncello and grandma and shot glasses and more staff and about an hour later the fun tapered, grandma kissed all the males at the table and off we... When we told friends we were planning a trip to Florence, the recommendations were unanimous — "You're eating at Pandemonio, right?" Since this was our twenty-sixth wedding anniversary, I e-mailed ahead and received an immediate response from proprietor Mamma Giovanna. Not to worry, everything would be in place for a special night. It certainly was! My surprised wife was thrilled... More

A good friend recommended we go to Pandemonio for dinner while in Florence. We did, and we had the best time. When you walk into the restaurant, there is a small front room that seems a little odd, but then you are led into the back of the restaurant, which is lovely. The servers were wonderful and accommodating. My partner... More

very average trattoria, there are much better places in Florence. They seem to be catering mainlly for tourists as we saw no italians while there. Food lacks taste and the restaurant is not cheap. More

Day 2 in Florence and went to this restaurant last night - flavours of food sublime. Mixed apps for two is huge and good value, pasta course more then substantial - could not go for a second course. Wine list very reasonable. Do charge a cover charge of 3 euro per head but, worth it as some of the best... More
