We had dinner at this small busy restaurant located near Santa Croce church. We were welcomed by the charming manager who, with his staff, was attentive to our needs through the evening. The menu presents a range of Tuscan based meals at a reasonable price. The starters and main meals we had were delicious. It was good to try some...

We had a hard time finding this restaurant as I couldn't figure out how they number the buildings on the street and no shop keepers had heard of it. However, the food and welcoming staff made the search worthwhile. Maybe being on a side street a slight distance from the tourists made this a more authentic experience at reasonable prices.

We had a nice quiet lunch at La Maremma. We enjoyed pears with pecorino, riblotta, and a salad. The flavor an presentation of the food was excellent. We will try them for dinner on our next visit.

Scarmoza a la griglia con lardo e miele was typical Tuscan dish, also very good!Friendly staff, knowing what they sell, and good enough wine...

In this instance, my instincts were good. The chef prepares dishes that are uniquely Tuscan and very attractively presented. Included are such delicacies as wild boar, homemade pastas, and truffles.
The restaurant charges a €2 cover, similar to other Florentine restaurants....

We selected La Maremma based on Tripadvisor reviews - much competition there amongst the many good restaurants in Florence. As it was a chilly night, we decided to stay in the area and La Maremma sounded the best around here. We were not disappointed. First of all, the restaurant looks much better than the photo in TA, which makes it...
