We saw this place on TA! Went in and had a delicious snack! We opted to stand as it is cheaper if you do that! Both times we stopped by the staff were helpful and friendly! I would reccomend it if you are in the mood for light meal and a drink!

This is a bang for your Euro. Great for lunch, not too heavy and well priced. Stand inside and order from bar. Had about 7 Cicchetti and 3 drinks between 2 adults for €18. Place was busy, servers were not overly friendly but food was good and very authentic. Seemed to be frequented by locals.
After days of stuffing myself with huge portions of Italian food, I was thrilled to find Ostaria dai Zemei, operated by twin brothers (who have posted tons of pictures on the walls sent to them by twins from all over the world)! I ordered a capuccino and a wonderful 'mini sandwich' which really hit the spot, and didn't make a...

We stumbled into this lively but tiny place and kept coming back on our walks from the hotel to Rialto. The cicchetti was some of the best we had in Venice and their large array of wines were all great (some as low as 1.50 euro a glass).
We stumbled across Ostaria dai Zemei while getting lost in the streets and canals of Venice. Simply looking for a place to refuel and take a breather, we couldn't believe our luck when we started at the food.
After a couple of days in the city, you get used to this style of eating, and the freshness and variety at...

I'm staying a few blocks away from this ostaria and have been back a number of times for the excellent cicchetti and spritz. Good variety, generous servings. The inside is tiny, SRO for maybe 4 well-acquainted people, but there are chairs and tables outside next to a busy calle. This place is not that far from the scrum on the...

We just loved it here and visited several times during our time in Venice. The cicchetti were mostly €1.50 and there was such a good selection with something for all tastes. We really enjoyed trying them all and lots of the different wines, many of which were also €1.50 a glass! A wonderful little place, popular with locals. Highly recommended!
We ate there on two occasionsas we loved it when we came across it the day before so went again at lunch time, lots of cicchetti to choose from and if your not sure what is on them ( we had a 15 year old teenager who hates fish and was bothered there would be hidden anchovies on them) and...

This is a great little spot. No seats, SRO [you must stand]. Excellent and succulent selection of cicchetti, all reasonably priced. Tiny kitchen prep area kept really clean [as a former restaurant owner, I appreciate that]. Our docent on a ContextItaly tour took us here for a short stop [snack + prosecco], and returned later on our own that p.m....

Recommended by Lonely Planet, whose restaurant picks this trip have been sound, as well as by the folks at our hotel. Many tasty cicchetti - those with salmon as well as the anchovy ones were delicious. Add a "spritz," grab a seat outside and you're golden.
