An elegant, small restaurant with fantastic seafood. Quite pricey but well worth it. More

Hands down one of the best seafood dinner experiences during the entire trip. The menu changes daily depending on the ocean, but here were some of our notable highlights: Fried shrimp appetizer - Free starter servered in a paper cone. Simple. Delicious. Seafood Carpaccio - Raw, sliced fish. Amazingly fresh and delicate. Excellent! John Dory - The best fish we... More

We walked there during the daylight so that we would know how to get there for our dinner reservation. It was crowded, even for a Tuesday night. Some of our meals were good, but the tagliatelle pasta with the herb pesto was one of the best pastas we had in Italy. One of us had fish, another calf liver, but... More

Yes it is hard to find but is only a few minutes down narrow alleyways from the water-bus stop. The restaurant is small and a bit cosy. Once seated you receive a little paper cone of the most delicious small fried fish. Service is friendly and efficient. The food was the best we ate in Venice - wonderful pasta and... More

I had to think for some while to rate this restaurant properly. If food is all that matters to you, please do not hesitate to go there. I would rate it as excellent. Having said that the attitude of the owners leaves a lot to be desired for. We were the only table with tourists among the 6 to 7... More

This restaurant is hard to find, the tables are cramped and the noise level makes it hard to have a romantic dinner, but the food is very good to excellent, starting with the complimentary local fried seafood in a cone "appetizer". It seems all the good restaurants are on this side of the Canale Grande. More

Very friendly service in this family owned restaurant.Freshest fish, simply & beautifully cooked. Excellent wine list that features some very fine white wines from the Friuli & Trentino regions. We visit Venice every March and always return to the Antiche Carampane. We always look forward to it and it never disappoints. More

I agree with all the recent reviews.Until we went to Al Paridiso last night I would have said that this was our best meal in Venice but now I have to say second best after Al Paridiso. The service and food were very good and the clients were a mix of tourists and locals. My husband had the squid in black... More
