Very nice Art-Deco restaurant. Great food, excellent wine list and competent service. Do not expect Andrea to be in the kitchen. No, he has instructed his brigade and is present in the restaurant looking after his guests; willing to answer all sorts of questions. I¨ll be back...

Andrea adds lots of mystery to the dishes he creates - it was a wonderful experience as well as a delicious meal.

As we turned up and announced our name and that we had booked a table for two, a young man took our coats and showed us to our table. I presumed he was a waiter but he turned out to be chef Andrea Fenoglio. How many chefs of this calibre these days would deign to stoop so low! So many... More

We lost our way in Merano, while looking for the castle and the botanical garden. suddenly I notice at the corner of a street a nice coffee shop, and it was the write time for a brake. What a nice selection of cakes were looking at us from the cake's display, each one looks better than the other. We had... More

Found Sissi by simply walking by and didn't know what to expect. Turned out to be an excellent experience. I had never had food in the Molecular Gastronomy category - just saw it on 60 Minutes and the Travel Channel. It was delicious. It reminded me of a place that you need to reserve a table for 3 months in... More

Go there! If you want to avoid the traditional krauts and sausages and want a very nice and interesting meal, this is the only place in Merano I could find.

when sissi was recommended to us by our hotel for our dinner, we were completely unaware that it is michelin star rated – we only realized when we arrived there. the restaurant that we had originally in mind was closed during our stay. at first, we were not completely over the moon when we saw the michelin certificate on the... We visited 4 Michelin restaurants during our trip to Sudtirol. Zum Lowen, Castel Fragsburg, Zur Rose and Sissi. Sissi was by far the best in terms of food. As to its interior, it is more a family restaurant, than a luxurious one. But the food is amazing, probably 2-star, as it was clearly a league above the others. My starter... More
