The owner is an exquisite host and really goes the extra mile to explain all the dishes which are available. Ditto for the wine. The food is an experience in itself. Great great great!! If you enjoy great homemade Italian (Piedmont) food, this is a must in Asti. It is an homage to slow food and to tradition which gets... More

We decided to stop off in Asti to break up a longish car journey & headed to Il Campanarò for lunch on the strength of previous reviews. We are so glad we did and would strongly urge anybody in the area to make time for a lunch or dinner here, whether staying or passing through. The owner is lovely &... More

Attention to details, informed service and great food. What more do you want? We had lunch recently and found this small place hidden on a back street of Asti. We will keep it on our list for the next time we are in Asti, you will too.

The service deserves a 5 but the food really does not deserve more then 3. The food was a bit tasteless but overall ok, not more. The place is not overpriced either on wine or food. The reason (we thought) people like this place here on tripadvisor is that they really like the proprietor who indeed was really enthusiastic and... More

Last week I made a trip to Asti in Piemonte, and as lunchtime approached, it was time to select a restaurant. I had my notebook with me , so a 10 min. search through the restaurants in Asti brought me to this place. It is small but cozy. The owner, mr. Duilio, is very nice and helpful in describing his... Based on the reviews on Tripadvisor, we stopped at this restaurant while passing through Asti. Our host, Duilio was delightful! He encouraged the four of us to share several piemontese specialties -all delicious and homemade. It was the highlight of a trip that included many gastronomic indulgences. It was a three hour lunch, in a good way!

After seeing this restaurants rating we decided to give it a try because it Celiac friendly. For once I could eat almost everything on the menu, including homemade pasta.Helpful and friendy advice on the typically Piemonte menu and wines, the service matched the food - excellent.

The meal my husband and I had here was so memorable. It was our first taste of Piemontese cuisine and was the best meal we've had in Itay, by far!

The best dinner I had in asti, in italy! It is a small cozy restaurant with very warm friendly service. Even though he was busy the waiter always paused to chat with us, to introduce Asti and their cuisine to us. And the food - oh, the best I've ever had. For antipasti - I had the carne crudo (the...
