Baveno is a small town on the South side of Lake Maggiore and there are not vast numbers of places to eat. Posta was by far the best!

We chose to dine at Posta based on the tripadvisor reviews and had mixed feelings about our experience. While my chestnut-flavored home-made gnocchis were very tasty, my wife's vegetable carbonara was quite banal. another great restaurant in Baveno, great, fast service, tasty food & great value too. The deco was very 'italian' looking & it seemed to be extremely popular........not open on thursdays though, so we had to wait a day to try it out. Good value for money, a litre of house wine for 9 euros? amazing!

Really helpful and attentive staff, who gave us some good recommendations for both wine and food.

We ate here every night of our 4 night stay in Baveno which I think says it all really. Good food and wine, reasonably priced, pleasant service and an extensive menu meant that we never tired of eating there. Highly recommended.
