The beer selection has good representation of mostly Belgian and German beers of a number of types. I had lasagna bolonese (fabulous) and grilled swordfish. Both dishes were perfect. Well prepared. Good table service. Timing of the courses was very good as well. Only one minor complaint...they forgot my cafe order towards the end and had to be reminded. That having... More

We came here on recommendation of the receptionist of the Mercure Hotel just around the corner. Not much to say about this place, except that it is a good value for money pizzeria as there are many in Italy. One good thing was the beer selection, they had some nice bottled beers that are not so common in Italy. Prices... More

We ate here on a recent trip to Bergamo. The restaurant is sort of hidden up an alleyway, however it is well advertised outside. We went for dinner on Saturday, and couldnt believe how busy the restaurant was, which is usually a good sign. The food was good, and the service was very good. There was no rush to get... More

Travelled to Bergamo in November 2011. Hotel located centrally and surrounded by restaurants and cafes etc. We tried one that was recommended by the hotel "The Vox", however, this had a happy 3 hours that 8interfered with people wanting a quiet dining experience. The food was reasonable, rather expensive, but not on a par with La Ciotola, which unfortunately we... More

A genuine family run restaurant offering a superb choice of Italian foods and a range of pizzas that runs to several pages on the menu. We ate there four consecutve nights and were never less than delighted. The octopus carpaccio starter and all the grilled main courses were excellent. There is a good wine list but the house red is... More

OMW, the food was magnifico! The prosuitto & melon, the local ravioli (bacon & sage), grilled vegetables, grilled sea bass, lasagna and spagetti carbonaro could not have been better. Even the insalada verde (water crest) was good. Oh, by the way the service was also top notch. Should not leave out that piece. If you are in Bergamo it is... More

We were impressed by the atmosphere, very warm and friendly. The place was almost full, both by tourists and locals. The staff was helpful and the food very tasty. The prices are decent. We felt great, like into a special place. We loved it and would gladly return there anytime for dinner.

We did not want a large meal and owner/waitress was quite happy to have us share a meal which proved to be very adequate. She was very helpful and we had a good conversation. Food was good. Interesting decor which showed some of the owner's individuality. One minor point - the lighting was a bit bright - maybe some candles... More

It was nice to have the peace and quiet of this restaurant as we prefer a more relaxed atmosphere after a days sightseeing and it is more suitable for our age group ( pensioners)! There were youngsters there too, mostly in family groups and they have chairs suitable for toddlers. The staff are most welcoming and the food very good... More
