Great service, wonderful food located in a wonderful location in the Upper City (Cita Alta). Make reservations if you plan on going.

My colleagues and I went there and had lunch at 3:00PM, which is unusual for a restaurant of that type. The ambience is quite interesting. The restaurant is in a piazza, walking distance from a nearby parking (via Gombito).
My memories about the menu are quite good. We let the waiter and the manager to pick the food for us...

Located in the old part of town, this restaurant has a quite long and valid wine list and a good choice of dishes. The service is excellent and the bill fair for what you get to eat. I totally recommend this restaurant for who loves to eat fish, in particular red prawns! Go if you are in Bergamo!
A lunch overlooking this beautiful square was superb. The service and the food were extraordinary. Best food in Bergamo!
Had a quick lunch on the spur of the moment. Nice atmosphere, great location and we had a genuinely friendly waiter. I'm always a bit wary of restaurants in prime tourist locations because they know that most guests won't be back again so why try. Overall Colleoni is guilty of this failing. Food was good in parts, great bread, very...

We booked a table in person that afternoon, but our reservation was taken so casually that we were surprised it had been taken at all (which it apparently had). Things got off to a bad start when we were 30 mins late! However, they were ok about that. We went on a Sun night and tables were well spaced apart,...

Great food. Very quiet atmosphere verging on uncomfortable. We were offered a lovely local Prosceco upon arrival and the came the bread followed by a starter of lovely marinated fish on polenta ( non of which we had ordered) followed (finally) by our order. Food was great and well sized. We declined the desert and just ordered some coffee which...

My wife wanted to give the title in Italian so that even Italian visitors could benefit from this review.
We dined (although I wouldn't want our use of the word "dine" to imply that we experienced fine dining here) at Colleoni & dell'Angello on our visit to Bergamo in September of 2011 and were very disappointed.
First off, the restaurant...

Once you eat here in Bergamo, you may not want to try anywhere else. Can`t get better than this. Something as simple as a tomato soup was served both elegantly and was the most delicious I`ve ever had. The owner/manager is the epitome of a gentleman and the entire staff was both friendly and professional. Again, just pure perfection.
We had the most extraordinary good luck in that on a brief visit to the wonderful city of Bergamo we were able to see a brilliant production of Nabucco in the main square of the Citta Alta. At the same time we had a wonderful meal at this perfect restaurant, who allowed us to spin it out for the whole...
