I have been traveling in Italy and had some of the best authentic food here and for a very good price. We had the goulash with polenta and their beer that they have on tap, excellent! We went back for dinner and had the most delicious pork sandwich Ive ever had! They made everything on it, the mustard, the bread... More

I must let you know, before you read this , that i am from Trieste, but left the place in 95. However, i spent some of my best years drinking espresso (in the morning and at lunch) and caliceti (wine glasses - in the afternoon) and eating at Siora Rosa. While a bit overpriced on the eating side, Siora Rosa... More

This casual and informal restaurant offers the best in typical Triestian cuisine. All the old favourite dishes are here - made fresh daily by jovial women you can hear chuckling away in the kitchen. Bean soup, fresh pasta, porchetta, sausages, smoked hams, sauerkraut, baccala and home made desserts, cakes and tortas. A great gem of a restaurant...warm, friendly, relaxed and... More

I am not particularly enthusiastic about this restaurant, however they serve decent food for little money, and the location is attractive.

We went to this restaurant because of the tripadvisor reviews. The restarant was fairly easy to find and the service was quite good. The food was typically Italian. The restaurant itself wasn't as cozy as we'd wish with lots of bright lights and uncomforable chairs. We got a scare, though, when we saw the bill. It was about twice the... More

This place is always busy. Weather permitting, you can sit outside either near the park or on the not-too-busy side street. Food is typical Triestinian, i.e. Jota. It is possible to order a sampler plate of three small portions, for under 10E, so you can taste several flavors. Last time i was there we also had a tasting plate of... More

We really enjoyed our dinner last night in La Siora Rosa. Staff spoke decent English, was very helpful, super friendly and the food was amazing! Nice portions, great taste, fresh ingredients from a daily menu... a must do if you want to taste Triest for real! For about 17 euro per person we got our coperto, very nice prosecco for... More

easy-going people would love this place: the family who owns it is nice, friendly, smiling. they feeded me for many years when i was a student, spending many hours in the biblioteque nearby!! the food? excellent. fresh. tasty. (good prices!) in summer you can stay outside in the little square and, if you're lucky, you can get live music or... More

Always busy, a good sign! Waiters not as efficient as they might be, though it probably helps if you're an attractive young lady. Big portions and filling food, don't be afraid to share plates.

If you want to eat comfort food from the melting pot of Italian, Slav and Austrian cuisines, this is the place for you. Hearty soups, pork meats, great sweets, friendly home atmosphere. If you don't speak Italian, no problems, Alex born in Australia of Triestin parents will look after you. Ciao muli, steme ben, Victor from Melbourne
