Had to go here because it's a classic. I actually loved the super bright lighting. The waiters know what they are doing-- though not all are as welcoming as they should be. Stick to the basics and you will have a delicious meal. They are known for their traditional tortellini in brodo and their green lasagna. We had both and... More

We ate here because the menu looked good and so did the appearance of this place. I ordered the petto de pollo when i say it was raw chicken i mean IT WAS TOTALLY RAW! i feel ill just thinking about it, it was described as, chicken breast topped with asparagus, mushroom and white wine sauce served with sauted potato,... ATTITUDE PROBLEM BY STAFF AND BAD FOOD. And here is why. Having booked the table (a laugh I think), the tables are far too close, got banged in the head by a leaving customer and was backed in by another one who's table backed onto mine, e.g. they were too close. The waiter we had rushed us by not explaining... More

One of our friends took us here for lunch. The restaurant is busy, waitresses are well dress and service is fast. I speak some Italian and our friend does too so we have no problems with menus. We started with some antipasti then we got the tortellini in brodo and one of our friends got pasta a la Bolognesa. I... More

My husband and I had a nice meal, though it was not outstanding, just nice. Unlike some other reviews, our pasta was perfectly cooked and very fresh. The bolognese sauce was incredibly flavorful as was the risotto mariana. The service was pleasant, not amazing, though we worked hard to speak in our ridiculously broken Italian to the staff which I... More

This restairant is very popular but it was very expensive for what it was - service was too fast and the atmosphere was very bright and busy.

Went here on recommendation of concierge at hotel I Portici. Service OK but Cuperto or cover charge is 4.5 Euros per person!! Rather extreme. Lasagna and bolognese had dry crispy noodles and ? If microwaved. Bread stale and dry. Salad with unripe tomatoes. Very disappointing for the gastronomic capital of Europe. Note: this is an honest review.

Can we stop for a moment and reflect on the glory that is the English language? Over a thousand years this has developed, stolen and produced a structure that is second to none. It is the language of the great plays, the great books and has become a world language. So please can people reviewing places on tripadvisor stop saying... More

every time I pass in Bologna, I stop at the Diana for lunch. the dishes are always very good and simply presented, they are concrete, they don't waist time to decorate the dishes, often they bring the pan from the kitchen directly to the table. their hand made tortellini with broth are very good, i also suggest to try the... My husband and I went to Diana last month for a special occasion while we were in Bologna. We had read many glowing recommendations, most recently Mario Batali's on his website. The restaurant is very "old school" which I liked but I thought it was one of our most mediocre meals we had while in Bologna. Our service was quite... More
