This place is all students. You remember being a student... big appetite, small wallet. This place fits the bill for a quick, cheap, filling lunch. Quick and polite service. No gouging on the beverages. Average food-- but a great local place that will remind you of every local college hangout you've ever seen.

Ok, for sure it's not the best food but it's good and cheap. (tagliatelle and crostino cro magnon are my fav) It's always packed, full of students and you'll have to share a big table with someone else. But if you are up for a big night out and wanna start with some good food, go there in good company,... More

This was recommended to us by our host at the b&b in which we were staying. Popular with locals, especially students and other young people, seating is semi-communal. The food was ok -- not great, but certainly adequate. Price was reasonable for Bologna. Lots of people really like this place. We found it to be so-so.

We had dinner here and it was packed with locals. Our food was tasty, a good value, and the service was great and friendly.

If you fancy pretending you're not a tourist, grab a bowl of fresh pasta here with the lively mix of students, business people and even nuns. Great!

It is tiny, noisy and it gives good food at a great value! We enjoyed two hearty pasta specials and a large salad, a bottle of Lambrusco, and a liter of water for 35 euros. Service was attentive. This was a great place for lunch.

Had spaghetti bolognaise. Actually it is not on the menu but the waiter understood -- on the bill it appeared as pasta secca, only 6 euros. The pasta wasn't round in cross-section but rectangular. Sauce had a lot of minced meat, was brownish-red rather than red, and not wet. Tiramisu came in a glass cup. Lots of cream-mascarpone and little... More

Simple settings, excellent local food well cooked and reasonable price, full of locals, what more can you ask for. We were there for lunch and I had a barley soup and my companion Spaghetti Bolognaise. It is the sort of place I would like to go back to (we were only in Bologna for a day so we did not... More

..of three restaurants we tried over a couple of days. We were very lucky to get a seat in what is obviously a very popular restaurant for locals and we could see why. All sat on shared tables of around six people but don't let that put you off as this was the best and yet cheapest meal we ate.... More
