La Pollarola was one of our favorite restaurants years ago when we lived in Rome near the Campo dei Fiori. It was a delight to return this month and find that they still have fine, delicious food with fresh seasonal ingredients, perfectly served and affordable prices, in fact very reasonable for the high quality of the food. Great atmosphere, location,... More

My family and I ate at La Pollarola on the recommendation of our hotel in Campo de' Fiori, and what a fantastic recommendation it was! We are now three days -- and as many dinners -- into our stay in Rome and we're yet to find better food than that found at La Pollarola. Located just a block or so... More

We stayed at a lovely Publicolis apartment for 2 weeks in Campo dei Fiori. We found this restaurant off one of the side streets of the main piazza. We always look for a place that the locals frequent and loved both the quality and price of the food. The house wine was excellent and the veal was fantastic. We ate... More

La Poollarola, being located close to Campo di Fiori, is worth the trip to this area. For us it was around the corner. Once some of the tourists had left, the locals arrived and the atmosphere turned to be most agreeable. I liked the old boy service. No messing around and no fancy chat is fine by me. So it... More

Zagat guide steered us to a nearby restaurant that was supposed to be Moderately priced but was in fact ridiculously expensive! A kind local directed us here, and we will return whenever we are in Rome. Fantastic, authentic, Roman cuisine in a very attractive setting.

We wondered into La Pollarola by chance as it was near our hotel and looked nice and then went two more times during our ten days stay. It seems that this place is mostly visited by locals. Waitors had very basic English, but this did not seem to be problem and the service was very friendly. The food was very... More

The restaurant we went to for dinner was closed and it was getting late, so it was a relief to come across La Pollarola near Campo de Fiore. The friendly staff and interesting menu made for a great evening. So good, in fact, that we returned a few nights later.

I have been teaching in Rome every summer since 1982. This is when I first ate at the best restaurant in Rome; at least my favorite. I always take friends there because you will never have a bad meal. Oh, I wish I was there now! Every summer I go to La Pollarola several times a week.
