Food was good. Very expensive. Talked into a flounder fish dinner - cost over $100. Waitress was quick to point out the tip was not included when we questioned the 20 percent charge - claimed it was a tax. No other restaurant in Rome ever charged a tax. Talk about being snookered!!!

On our next to last night in Rome and having had several excellent, reasonably priced meals at other restaurants in the area we decided to give this one a try. Big mistake. Service was inept, meals were mediocre (One order was not delivered and when it was the pasta had congealed into a solid mass that could be picked up... More

Having just returned from 4 nights in Rome, we were fantastically lucky with meals on three nights and on the last night made the mistake of ambling along the Via Veneto, which was close to our hotel, the Hotel Eden. The glass conservatory outside the restaurant seemed very smart and there was a nice selection of fresh looking fish outside.... More

I was working late at the hotel and felt a but hungry so decided to hop on my Vespa and ride down to this sorry excuse for a restaurant.. On arrival staff were friendly but kept trying to push me to choose the fish which thankfully after reading some of the reviews I decided against.. Ordered a margharita pizza and... More

After walking past several empty cafés on Via Veneto looking for an early evening meal, Café Veneto already had several patrons which we took as a good sign. As prices go, they seemed comparable with the rest of the restaurants in the area, a bit on the expensive side. The staff were very courteous and friendly and the food was... More

Echoing comments here. Unfortunately we did not read them. We were headed for another restaurant and got sidetracked. Looking for a place to eat, we ended up in "servisoland". Two of us shared a pizza and one had a salad. The food was ok, not great, but it is hard to screw up pizza or salad. We were really irritated... More

Make sure and ask for Felice - great service at this Cafe! Gnocchi and all past dishes were fantastic. We ate here many times. Just across the street from the Westin Excelsior.

I've lived in Italy for 2.5 years and this is surely the worst restaurant I have ever eaten in!! They put up a facade of being a nice restaurant and when you first enter you think you might be in for a good meal... Think again! This place is over-priced and terrible quality. We ordered one glass of crappy wine... More

I felt so strongly that I needed to warn people about how terrible of an this experience was that I signed up for a trip advisor account just to do so. I went to this restaurant this evening with my wife. The average price of a main looked to be about 20 euros. The waiter recommended we get the 'fish... More

If you wish to pay 18.00 for squashed grilled chicken + 4 potatoe wedges and a 20% service charge + tip this is the place for you. Otherwise avoid
