We got there about 10:30 pm very hungry. Despite late time the place was full, we actually had to wait to get a table. Our waiter was one of those older slow-moving guys but with great sense of humor. The place had that great feel of Italian trattoria, like in a movie. Service was extra-fast: they likely had everything ready... More

Good atmosphere and service considering it was very busy, but very tired with dated decor and felt unclean. Food was average, at best, and not at all what we expected. Very expensive for the quality of food we had.

11 Years ago I visited Rome for the first time. My friend took me to Perilli for lunch. I was so impressed that years later, when we visited Rome with my family, we visited Perilli again and again it was a wonderful experience. Last January we went again with our friends and again they didn't disappoint us. Perilli is an... More

You should try this place. True old-school decor and waiters - don't expect top quality service, but enjoy it for what it is: a taste of Rome, and a snapshot of how all Italians used to eat (and plenty still do - there were lots of locals there, which I think is a good sign). We went on two evenings,... More

Trattoria Perilli in the nice Testaccio neighborhood is great. The food -- I ate a Roman style artichoke (Carciofo alla romagna), a spicy Amatricciana pasta and a steak -- is high quality and tastes divine, the wine list is extensive by Roman standards, and the service is good. The only downside is that Perilli has become so well known that... More

It's a tipical Roman Trattoria. Tables one close to the other and old-fashioned waiters. You have to try their pasta, whetever you like: carbonara, amatriciana, cacio e pepe, with artichoke and guanciale (bacon). Then if you don't want to eat a second dish, try their vegetables: carciofi alla romana, puntarelle and fave con il guanciale. everything was great! The portions... More

Excellent dinner: rigatoni w/ paiata, and coratella w/ artichoks. Quite challenging to find an empty table (good sign). The menu looks great. I could eat 1/each....

Even though many tourists dine into this restaurant, most of the customers are local. The food is simple but great, nice atmosphere, swift service
