We found this place by doing some research before our trip. I wanted to find places to eat with good quality food. There are unfortunately WAY too many tourist traps in Rome. We arrived about 1:30 after a long morning of exploring the Forum. The food was fantastic! Don't make up your mind until you hear the specials. If the... More

We immediately felt at home at this restaurant after we discovered the Pittsburgh Steelers memorabilia on the wall courtesy of Franco Harris. But the food and the festive atmosphere made the evening for us. While we couldn't decide if this restaurant had the best food in Rome we agreed that it had the best atmosphere. We had between us the... More

My husband and I ate there tonight, after making a reservation 3 nights ago to the first available opening... The food was by far the best I had throughout this trip to Italy, and the best I've had overall in a long time (and we dine out a lot)!! We had roman style eggplant, and two specials - Nocci in... Although I was put off by the red checkered tablecloths when I ate lunch here today with two old friends, the food and the service was as wonderful as trusted Romans had told me. I had great eggplant parmegiano, tasty ravioli with pesto, and a great apple-cherry pie for dessert. Text time I'm going for dinner.

This is one of our favorite restaurants in Rome. It is a small, family run place with great food at a reasonable price and friendly service. We live in Rome and have been there many times, and never had anything bad.

Booked in advance based on the strong TA recommendations. Cozy atmosphere, great food, friendly service and reasonable prices! The bruschetta was outstanding! Eggplant parmagiana was perfectly prepared. Each of the four of us really enjoyed our entrees - cacio e pepe w/truffle, and the swordfish were standouts. The perfect finish was the chocolate cake dessert - yummy!

We dined here on Monday, April 16th after spending the day touring the Coliseum, Forum, and Palatine Hill. It took a little bit to find the restaurant, but once located we asked to confirm that we did indeed have a reservation, as we had asked our hotel to make it earlier that day prior to leaving for our tours. They... More

This place like most places in Italy, you need a reservation for dinner. Well we didnt do that so we came for lunch the next day. Food was good and well prepared. Wine was also good. Prices were reasonable for Rome. I'd recommend this place for lunch but haven't had their dinner. We ordered gnocci with a veal sauce and... More

Let me start by saying that I did not read a single review of this restaurant prior to eating there. The spot was recommended by our Roman hotelier as one of the places HE likes to eat. I am a self-described foodie and a pasta aficionado. Ironically, I chose the same dish mentioned in one of the ugliest reviews on... More
