This ranks in the top 3 restaurants experience that we had while in Italy (17 days). It is small, run, friendly and the food was to die for.

Don't even try to just show up without reservations. We saw several couples turned away after 7:30 that did not call ahead. The selection is very good, as is the wine selection.
Wonderful food, wine and atmosphere! On our first trip to Rome seven years ago, we really enjoyed our meal here, so made a point of going back on a recent trip. It did not disappoint.
Reservations are a must -they were full the first night we tried, but were able to reserve a table for us the next evening. The...

Italian food at it’s best the fresh pasta was superb, the mains and dessert were excellent as well. The staffs were very friendly and attentive. Recommend that you book to ensure that you don't miss out on this great restaurant.
The staff was incredibly friendly. The food was fantastically delicious and fresh. I had the bolognese and I can't recommend it enough. We ordered the mortadella as an appetizer and it was a good idea! The prices were excellent.
Having eaten at three excellent restaurants on our trip to Rome (2 locals places, one more touristy) we had high hopes having seen the reviews for Colline Emiliane. Short version: overpriced with average (for a tourist) food at best. Long version:
We reserved for 7:30, were seated promptly but then endured the dullest atmosphere yet as we were sat with...

I am almost reluctant to send more people here... But if you do go, have the carpaccio (amazing!) and the tagliatelle bolognese (to die for). The slow-cooked meats with mashed potatoes are heavenly. Reservations necessary, even for lunch. Not fancy or romantic but a very pleasant atmosphere, great service and amazing food. We have been here perhaps half a dozen...

I've been here for lunch 2 years in a row (and will continue to return whenever I get to Rome)... it's just that good! Colline Emiliane is a tiny restaurant (be sure to make a reservation) and family run with handmade pasta (rolling pins and not machines). Both times I had the truffle pasta, which is some of the best...

Colline Emiliane was definitely one of our better dinners in Rome, and was certainly incredibly delicious and authentic. A small concern was that we felt a little bit rushed compared to most of our favorite Italian/Roman experiences. Book a reservation and be prepared to eat a feast. The pumpkin ravioli was amazing.
Colline Emiliane is on a little side street. It doesn't lend itself to walk-in traffic. When you walk in, be prepared for an "eating at home" environment because it's like eating at your aunt's house. You are served by the grandson of the owner. The owner, long since deceased, had his son take over the business. Food and service are...
