It is the ideal place for a light lunch o for a breakfast before visiting the museums, good lacation, waiters very friendly. I was there on February and went after a long tour of the vatican museums and I was surprised by the kindness of owner and waiters considering the touristy area. I took a salad and a tomato spaghetti... More

We had spent a few hours in the Vatican Museum and were feeling weary and in need of a sit down with a snack. This place was handy as it is virtually opposite the exit............. chosing the easy option was our fisrt mistake!! I wished we had walked a little further and visited one of the many others around the... More

We visited this restaurant after visiting the Vatican museums and Sistine Chapel. The trip is very interesting but also very tiring as you are not allowed to eat, drink or sit down at any time. We were hungry and thought that this restaurant which was not busy at the time appeared reasonably priced according to the menu outside. We were... More

Among all the millions of people visiting the Vatican, waiting in line for hours, just across the street I found Da Paolo restaurant. It's a great place to really take in the atmosphere and people watch. It's very spacious so it's a good place to go with a large group, or also tuck yourself away with a book, an inspirational... We went to da paolo for lunch after visiting the Sistine Chapel. We had a prosciutto, tomato and cheese pizza (€10) which was nice and some water and beer. When we first walked in the service was great - up until we ordered and had one (large) pizza to share. It then became clear we weren't spending enough as the... More

We left the vatican museum around 12pm and decided to grab a quick bite before heading over to the basilica. The menu from the outside looked alright 11.90 for 3 courses. We should have known better since the restuarant was almost empty but we figured it was just because it was early. Two of us ordered the special menu -... More

Before joining the line to get into the Vatican Museums this was the perfect place for a plate of pasta (my friend had a nice fruit salad). It also does a great cappuccino. The restaurant is family-run and the atmosphere was friendly (most of the waiters speak basic English).

We got out of the vatican museum at 3 pm starving. A few days earlier we payed 40 euros in a restaurant and we though it was a bit to expensive considering we just had one small plate. From that moment on we were very carefull choosing our restaurants and we found reallyinteresting things that way (for example, get a... More

I did not expect a lot but it was worse than I expected. The waiter was good and food was quick. Too quick. The pizza was under cooked and the spaghetti the taste and texture of canned pasta and with sauce (chef boyardee).
