I stopped here, while I waited to meet up with a tour guide. I paid 7 euro s for a bottle of water and a pastrie. They do have a great location at the entrance to the Vatican. But it not worth the price. I knew from past reviewers that its a ripp off. I just wanted a seat across... More

We stopped here after Vatican Museum and asked for two glasses of wine. Two enormous glasses of wine were brought, although we didn't ask for large ones. It tasted watered down and later we noticed it being poured from a giant plastic demi-john type container. Cheapest of the cheap wine, which cost us a reluctant 9 Euros each. Buyer beware.... More

We (or actually I) goofed on our Vatican ticket reservations and we were 4 hours early. We went into the Cafe Vaticano for some gelato. It started pouring rain on and off and we pretty much sat there for 3 hours. Yes, they tried to hint at us to leave because we rudely overstayed our welcome but we kept ordering... More

We are avid travelers and use tripadvisor religiously, however we missed the boat on this one! We just popped out of our rental apartment one morning a wanted a quick coffee and sandwich for breakfast, as most have already pointed out this place was a rip off. The terrible thing is we had read the review for this place and... More

Over priced.. Also watch the for the seating charge. If they ask if you want table or stand at espresso bar…Keep in mind they will charge you a table fee. This from what I could see was not posted. They have a really good deal going due to the location, but that’s about it. I will pass on the next... More

We visited this place as we awaited a tour of the Vatican. The service was truly awful and the coffee overpriced, even by Rome standards. Initially we were ignored at the counter and then guessed it was table service. We sat for ages waiting for our order to be taken. Eventually we ordered at the counter and had our coffee... More

Average food. Self service but very helpful staff. Brings everything to your table if you ask. Great location right outside the Vatican Museum entrance. Expensive as a result of location. 100 euros for main course, drinks, desserts and coffee.

Lovely atmosphere, attentive waitstaff, pretty food, but extremely expensive. €48 for two cups of coffee, two fruit bowls and two croissants. I guess you're paying for the view. Buyer beware.
