I live a few minutes from here, and we rarely eat here due to the fact that it is overpriced and the staff are all a little too convinced of how wonderful they are. It's the type of place which harps on constantly about being an 'institution' and how they are down to earth (being based in Testaccio, traditionally a... More

We showed up without a reservation on a Saturday evening and were accommodated. The waiter mentioned they were booked but if we could eat in under 1 and a half hours he could get us in. That was plenty of time to have some amazing food! Certainly check this place out if you want authentic Roman food simply but perfectly... More

This place was for me a waste of a nights eating in Italy. From the minute I walked in I knew it was a mistake just by the way our waiter greeted us. That's not really the end of the world I understand but I still don't understand why waiters take this road of obnoxious service. We ordered pasta and... More

We read brilliant reviews on Da Felice and had to go pay a visit. Granted, Rome is full of tourists and any restaurant written up on a guide book will be packed with them. We had a reservation and found there to be no problem getting in at lunch. I know a lot of reviewers complained about the service, but... More

By 'sexy' I mean "sought after" and "desired" Welcome to the joint where Rome's well heeled go eat GREAT food. They make outstanding food and they know it (so you wont be surprised with what follows) Service is distant and tourists are certainly not a priority....but the price and the quality are there. They certainly were not fawning after us,... More

Upon walking into this restaurant the waiter greeted us with a deep sigh, we werent sure what to take of it at that point being that there were several available tables. As he led us to our table, it looked like it pained him to serve us, again we werent sure why his disposition was so negative. Upon being seated... More

the food is great. only a bit overpriced, but this is due to the nice atmosphere of the premises. wine list is also good. we had maccheroni alla Felice (excellent!) and a delicious tonnarelli alla gricia. artichockes were also amazing. definitely get an entrée and a pasta, but avoid the dessert.

We managed to get a booking by agreeing to eat at 7.30 and vacating the table by 8.50. As other reviewers have noted the waiters are not warm and fuzzy, but the food was so good it was worth putting up with this. The Tonnarelli Cacio e Pepe was amazing as was the Tiramisu. I never usually bother with desserts... More

That is all. Cacio e Pepe and cheesecake. Go here. Order them. Leave happy. It's ridiculously good. Have your hotel make a reservation for you. Their system is a bit wonky. I called from NY to make a rez, then called the day of to confirm, and they never heard of me. The hotel desk sorted that out
