Seems we weren't the only ones that found ourselves lucky enough to stumble upon this cozy authentic spot. Even though it's on the tourist trail, it's not very touristy. It is casual and friendly and oh so tasty. The crispy juicy bruschetta was a good sign of things to come. The super peppery parmesan and pepper tonnarelli came on a... More

After our tour of the Vatican, we needed lunch and was wondering around this area. Initially I had another restaurant in mind but it was dead so we kept walking. just when I was about omjust go into a cafe and get a sandwich for lunch, my husband suggested we keep on walking and we came to this place. I'm... More

Just bumped on it, this cozy little pizzeria is the perfect way to rest a bit and enjoy a fine pizza before continuing on strolling Rome. We had spaghetti carbonara (very nice) and shared a pizza bresaola & rocket (very nice also) Service could be a bit warmer, but I would recommend for lunch nevertheless

Interesting menu selection and very tasty food. Waiter seemed upset that tourists had ventured into his restaurant which I take as a good sign.

I have been to Il Corallo about 5 times now as I live in the neighbourhood. For those visiting Rome it is only steps away from Piazza Navona. You can mix with the Romans here and eat authentic Italian food. I love their super thin crust pizza and so far have sampled the Pizza with Speck, Brie and Rucola, Pizza... More

After reading the reviews of this restaurant and our hotel is within hundred 50 yards hotel we decided to give it a shot. We arrived at 8:30 PM on Thursday night and no wait. The menu has a lot of choices and in addition they had a special list for the evening. Our table 3 decided to have choices from... More

Absolutely beautiful food from a real local Italian resturant, full of romans . I went for my Mum's 50th birthday, we began with complimentary prosecco as we waited for the table, not a bad start!!! Then we indulged in pizzas, one with stunning truffles, and succulent pork. We ended with tiramisu, panacota, chocolate mousse and chocolate fondant, all indulgent the... More

My friends and I happened upon Il Corallo while wandering around Rome. At the time we went (mid-afternoon), it wasn't very crowded, but that was fine because it indicated it may not be one of the many tourist traps near Piazza Navona. The service ended up being excellent and the food outstanding. I had the pizza with anchovies, one of... More

Went with my partner and our one year old daughter who was abit tired and fuzzy. The staff however happily made their best to keep her happy and making the dinner very comfortable for us and other guests. We were lucky to get a table since it was almost fully booked. It was a very festive atmosphere and it almost... More

I do advice having a try in this small and busy restaurant: the pizzas, pasta and the rest of the dishes, incredible; fast and cousy service, and finally, very near to a quite of a downtown spot -Piazza Navona. Last but not least, the medium price per person (15-25 €) is quite suitable for the overall.
