I was a bit worried with some of the reviews about their treatment of tourists but the server was really great. He was friendly and helpful. The food was amazing, fried prawns, artichoke appetizer, zucchini blossoms and cacio e pepe. Yummy!!!

I really do not understand the negative reviews of this restaurant. I had excellent service, in fact the waiter came and sat with us while we tried the Cacio e Pepe, which is one of the best meals I have ever had by the way. Also, it is out of the tourist area, outside of the main part of Rome,...

People on here, sound like they have had bad experiences. But for me and my wife, we loved every minute. I told the owner I was fed up with being crucified, at every other restaurant we went to. And we were glad to finally eat a great meal. He took a picture us. I'll never forget what he said, wile...

Well, this is the famed "Restaurant X" on No Reservations where Tony Bourdain raved about the cacio e pepe served in a Parmesan cheese bowl. This place serves genuine Roman food. The Cacio e Pepe is a must.

First the good. Objectively, the food lived up to expectations. Their signature pasta dish was every bit as good as we had hoped. Similarly, the cow's tail and dessert were excellent. For all of this the prices are reasonable. Unfortunately, the culinary excellence of the chef was tainted by a malaise of apathy and exploitation, as explained below.
As warned...

There is really one main reason to visit Roma Sparita and that's for their signature dish, Tagliolini al Cacio e Pepe. It was a memorable meal and I wish I had it right now. It's worth the trip to Trastevere and will not disappoint.
The service seemed like it would be better if you were a local but that did...

My spouse and I were told to find this restaurant while in Rome. We found it and had a nice meal. Both meals were good and priced similarly to other reasturants we ate at. Staff was friendly, we were there right at the start of lunch service.
Local food, good service, reasonable prices, good atmosphere
