Excellent pizza, excellent pasta, excellent prices. Fully recommend it. No frills but still cheaper than other places with much less panache and vastly inferior food. Conveniently close to the colosseum too. 4 euros for a litre of house wine too.

If you want flashy service with a smile and fancy napkins and table wear - don't go here. However if you want to eat fabulous Italian food, at great prices, served when the cooks say it is ready with a bit of cheeky italian attitude - this is the place! Here we ate the best Lasagne we have ever had... More

Close to Colosseum, it's a typical Italian atmosphere, with excellent prices (ex. 5,5 euro Lasagna con carne and 7 euro for 4 formaggi pizza) and great food and service. Stuff was very careful wits us so we came back there almost every day, even our accomodation was near Vatican. At Luzzi, they have this habit to put on your table... More

Lunch before visiting colloseum. The pasta was very good. Service is not the best. I think our table companions agree with that. The man got his piece of meat before his wife got her pizza. When the pizza finally arrived, the meat was eaten. An ok lunch place but I do not want to eat here at evening. Recommended as... More

And we tried it at several places. As Americans in Rome, we were definitely fish out of water - and that particularly holds true with respect to pizza. We ate pizza four times over 12 days - some places had runny pizza, multiple places lump the toppings together on different portions of the pizza instead of spreading them out. We... More

The trattoria won't disappoint, especially if you are looking for something close to the Colosseum at a good price...The food is good and plentiful...

Always a queue becuase it is cheap and cheerful. Waiters are rushed and not always as customer focused as perhaps they could be, but for the price I can live with it! Literally a stones throw from the Colosseum - bargain!

Luzzi is the place to go when you want good pizza fast, with no chit-chat, including with the people with whom you're dining. The waitress we had seemed to be obsessed with getting myself and my companion seated, served and back out on the street as quickly as possible, but more with the goal to make more $ than to... More

I still laugh when I think about this place. The waiters, when they're not having a quick smoke between serving tables, are functional and serve the food, sometimes with a smile, sometimes not, but they are always so busy they have little time for small talk. Fine by me...I go to a restaurant to eat, not to make friends with... More

Cheap wine, delicious , well priced food. Felt a bit rushed because it was so busy. One waitress was a bit rude when couples would sit at a table for 4 - telling them to move to a table for 2, but in a rude way. She was getting frustrated at having to say it so many times, but it... More
