In the Trastevere area of Rome we were taken to this Tavern by locals. The setting is very rustic Italian with long tables (or some smaller ones) that made for interesting conversation with other patrons. Very lively atmosphere--busy! The service was friendly and helpful, the food very good with a large variety of items. Pizza ranged from E10 to E15....

This is a steak house restaurant with a huge grill in the centre and completely overworked but happy staff racing about all night long. Really great atmosphere and excellent food that won't break the bank. I don't know how old it is but I saw a picture of Julius Caesar at the opening night on the wall. Enjoy.
Good food in a incredible building. You feel like you are in a time machine. The staff is not as friendly and attentious as they could be. Overall is good.
It is my preferred restaurant in Rome downtown. Walking distance from Tiberina island on Tever river. Courses i really recommend, any type of Pizza as well as meat. This restaurant doesn't serve first courses (ie. pasta). Price is in the average, not cheap but not even too expensive for what you get.
the best place! the best pizza! and the best atmosphere! I miss it a lot....

I totally recommend pizza and tiramisu! Drinking a bottle of wine is the best part of this experience!!
I had been to this restaurant 5 years ago and loved it...but unfortunately 5 years later I didn't like it that much..
The place is perfect, it is a original mercant building from ancient Rome.. A little dark inside but you should climb the stairs to see the original ambiance... The staff is very helpful and some can speak great...

The ingredients had no taste and the food was definitely not worth it. I would not go there again, although I would try the meo patacca, since the atmosphere...
