It is hard to find a good restaurant with reasonable prices in this area. This is one of them. Especially, we want to mention the atmosphere and the service. The food is uneven - some dishes were great, some shallow. We'll give it another chance when back to Rome.

It's a shame that this place has become so touristy, but it's an indicator of their success and high rating in Rick Steve's guidebook (it's also on his show). We went for the 45 Euro all inclusive menu that we read about in the guidebook, but did not actually see on the menu (alcohol is not included). I opted for... More

We were lucky to have been able to get in without a reservation but we went early enough they could accommodate us. We started with soup and bruschetta, both were delicious and they arrived very quickly. My wife had the steak on arugula and I had veal saltimbucco. The steak was great but the veal was average. Wouldn't order it... More

The house red wine was lovely, the food was good but not as good as I was expecting after reading the reviews on here. I had a steak which I asked to be cooked well done, and when it arrived it was rare, I should have sent it back but our waitress didn't speak English too well so it was... More

My family ate here several times on our recent trip to Rome. We were made very welcome (including our 3 children). Service was very good and food delicious. We particularly enjoyed the seafood. The atmosphere was relaxed. I would happily recommend the restaurant.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience. The seafood dishes were well prepared and she liked the fileted sea bass; for me, the lobster pasta. Liter of wine (excellent) was 14 euro. Romantic atmosphere; impeccable service. Rick Steves highly recommends this place; and I am sure it greatly boosts their business but the praise is well deserved. You... More

We came here late one evening (around 9pm) without reservations, and were able to get seated within 10-15 minutes. The cavernous atmosphere was wonderful, and the food was simply delicious. I would recommend it to anyone visiting the city.

My wife and I had the pleasure of eating at this restaurant twice during our recent trip to Rome. Claudio and the staff were great. The food was AMAZING especially the raw fish appetizer, the lobster pasta(THE WHOLE LOBSTER - I was really surprised when the waiters put a wet napkin next to me). The wine list is extensive and... We all loved this busy, family owned Rome restaurant. Centrally located and yes at the basement level, it felt authentic and charming, although some tables are perhaps too close together. However the ambiance was such that we felt we were in Rome. The service was excellent and we all enjoyed the traditional Italian food. The restaurant is very popular with... More

Impossible to understand these good ratings. This is the first time I've even written a bad rating but we went to this restaurant based on these good reviews and felt completely misled. First of all, descending directly down into a charmless basement wasn't pleasant - the decor was cold and seemed out of place and it felt closed in. Full... More
