We ate here on our 2nd night in Sorrento. It gets its food (and some other items, e.g. some beers) from the adjoining Il Giardiniello Restaurant, which means that the timing of things arriving is sometimes a little erratic - I got my glass of prosecco straight away but my husband had to wait some minutes for his beer. On... More

We spent a week in Sorrento March 2013 and happened to step into this bar on our first night and so glad we did! Luigi greeted us as if we were regulars the first time in. There were 6 of us; me, my husband, our 2 kids (8 & 10) and my parents in their 70's. We ordered a local... More

We were in sorrento a week before we found this place. The owner was very friendly and so we kept going back for evening drinks for this reason. The bar snacks were lovely and as you got to know luigi the snacks became more extravagant and delicious! There was an excellent selection of wine and luigi was only too happy... More

My wife and I visited Sorrento in October 2012 and discovered this bar through various websites and previous favourable reviews. We weren't disappointed. The bar has a lovely "local" feel to it and the barman (Luigi) is very obliging in describing his wines and certainly knows his stuff without being overbearing. We had excellent and perfectly reasonably priced (4 -... More

We ate alone in one room. Two other British tourists ate alone, with the barman, in the main bar next to us. Our pasta was more al dente than it should have been. (Was it cooked on the premises or did it come from the next door restaurant or something strange? This question is valid because we were given an... More

We went here during our recent trip to Sorrento largely as a result of the recommendations on Trip Advisor. However, we were sadly disappointed. Our starters were OK, but nothing to write home about, but unfortunately my main course was served, or rather put on the table, well before I had finished the starter. When I got to it, the... More

We stumbled across this excellent bar/restaurant whilst looking for somewhere to eat on our first night in sorrento. Unlike other places we walked passed we were not harassed to go in and eat or look at the menu, the service was excellent and all the food appeared to be freshly cooked and made in house, we were also given a... While in Sorrento for our son's wedding, we arranged to hold the 'Groom's Supper' at Bollicine which proved to be an outstanding choice. A party in excess of 20 people were treated to a culinary tour of the Campania region with wines ranging from local un-labeled up to the fine wines produced in the region and food that was typical...
