My wife and I had lunch here a couple of times on a recent 7 day visit to Playa Santiago - it's in a good spot between the village and the Laurel restaurant (part of Jardin Tecina) with full on sea views.
All the fresh food stuff you would expect ie sardines, calamari, tuna salads etc and good house wine...

Right on the eastern end of Playa Santiago's beach at Barranco Colon Laguna, just off the Avenida Maritima at the turning to Club Laurel, you'll find La Chalana. Run by Teresa and her family since the mid-80's, the bar has a vaguely hippyish air from the jewellery on sale to the windchimes and the whole laid back vibe. Good, honest...
