Clearly the place to be. Feels like a locals favorite spot. Serving of small beers great for sharing. Their twist on a Reuben sandwich included a fried egg, very good.

So delicious and big portions Service perfect. The ambience of the restaurant like Time Machine. Hidden Food Gem. We loved it very much.
Very good restaurant and bar where you can order authentic German cuisine washed down with great German beer (Gaffel). Service a little slow, but it was busy both evenings we ate here. Don't be put off by the temporary conservatory, there are heaters keeping the...temperature up. Food was excellent, and staff friendly and chatty. Recommended.More
Located just across the Spree from Friedrichstraße, this was the perfect spot for lunch, or any meal or drinks for that matter. Excellent Gaffel Kolsch beer on tap with great German food options (i.e. pork knuckle, sausage, sauerkraut, etc.). Service was fast and efficient. Recommend...making reservations ahead of time, especially if coming with a large group or during the colder months - summertime as well when the exterior is open. Great food and a relaxing setting.More
Felt like a really authentic German experience. The food was lovely (especially recommend the doner). Read the front bit of the menu or expect to just keep being given more beer (we ended up having 17). Sore head in the morning but well worth jt.
Awesome place for a beer and food. We ate traditional soup and meat with a great beer. The waiters advised us not to order too much as the portions are big enough. Awesome atmosphere.
Located on the River Spree is now regarded as an institution in Berlin. Established in 1997, it is favoured hangout for politicians and journalists. A biergarten in the Rhineland style it has Kölsch beer on tap and a range of snacks and meals. Norbert ordered...us meatballs, pickles, bread, mustard and fries. What a great accompaniment to the slightly sweeter, light Kölsch beer.More
I went here with a friend who is close to being a regular. I had two Rheinland dishes, black pudding with mashed potatoes and onions, and kalte Hund, both very good. The restaurant is located on Schiffbauerdam, near the theatre of the Berliner Ensemble, and...has a nice view over the river (canal?).More
The ambiente at the terrace is very nice with good wetter. The food and the beer are good. The service ... it was very busy night, so it was difficult for them..
We enjoyed a relaxing lunch here before joining the nearby river boat tour. Wide choice of dishes on the menu with all languages shown. Very efficient and helpful service. Lovely location at the side of the Spree.
Great food and a wide ranging menu. Menu available in different languages and extensive drinks menu. Seats inside and out next to the Spree. Can get busy at peak times so booking recommended!
Busy place, outside and indoor dining (indoor packed). Easy feed for tourists with the traditional currywurst for $11.90. Food was good, nothing too amazing. I don’t drink but appeared to be very popular with the beer drinkers!
Very attentive, good prices, delicious food, great beer! We came in here most nights as it was close to our hotel. It was busy but always had somewhere to sit. Lots of interesting pictures on the walls
Recommended by girl in hotel as close by. Place was very busy for a Thursday night with a real mix of tourists and locals. Staff friendly and service was quick. We were told food very good , we didn’t have time to eat but from...what we saw, food of decent portion and did look nice. Worth a visit if staying localMore
Our group of 6 was here on a Wednesday night and enjoyed good food, good times, and great drinks. The area is full of character, with the famous Albrechtshof (visited by Rev. Martin Luther King) just around the corner. Also a famous chase scene from...the Bourne Identity movie was filmed at the train station right in front of the restaurant. The restaurant is located very close to the old wall and is filled with memorabilia from before Reunification. Reservations are strongly recommended - there was quite a long line. It’s a tourist location, but also filled with locals.More
