Great location near the castle, excellent company at our shared table but heavy gut bomb fare. Fairly good but a bit much on the portions and a bit different from your stock Bavarian fare which many a visitiors might be looking for after all the tourist targeted menus.

Sat early evening - no reservation so they could only give us a table for an hour - plenty of time. Traditional Franconian food - Kloss and Soss is a must. Good selection of local beers and cheery no-fuss service

Went to this restaurant as it was close to our hotel. Server was friendly and helpful, recommending a traditional dish of sausages, hot potato salad and sauerkraut. Cozy traditional german pub. Decent value and hearty food. Enjoyed the beer selection and the portions were huge.

Great beers with outstanding service and food. The waiter took the time to explain the dishes. It was a reasonable meal and would go back again. One of the best meals of our vacation .
