It is a cozy, friendly traditional, German gasthaus. Food is consistently good and the service is friendly enough. I recommend the pork medallions if they have them.
This establishment has been well known and has had a great reputation in Ansbach for decades. We visited early on one Tuesday evening and the place was very quiet. It looked so good we decided to go here instead, and were very pleased that we did. The waitress was excellent, and described all the local specialities on... More
The restaurant in the Hotel Schwarzer Bock is the total package. The decor is reserved, old-style, and very comfortable. Whether it's Mikael recommending the perfect wine to... More

When the plate came to my place, these "Maultaschen" were really disappointing. Told that to... More
Thanks for aperfect stay in historic hotel. If there would be more parking availabel in front of the house it would be super, but we always managed that as well. Kind staff, we felt welcome in a family business and enjoyed beeing "part of the family". The most cosiest place we have been and outstanding restaurant!
