I came here with my mother at lunchtime on a Saturday - it was busy but we didn't have to wait. Upstairs is small but not cramped-feeling, downstairs is a room with two traditional low tables with seating on the floor, and the amazing electric toilets, really, they're amazing! The waiters were so friendly, putting up with our less-than-perfect attempts... More

The staff are kind, quick and attentive, the food is fresh and exquisite. The menu at lunch is €9-10 a head including soup, main and coffee or tea, you cannot get better value anywhere in town. Definitely book at lunchtime if you want to be sure of a table.

Fine quality Japanese food in the unlikely setting of Chamonix. Excellent service and miso soup is an excellent start to recovery from hard day's skiing.

We had dinner twice here over the xmas period. Good points: food is decent, friendly service, casual environment, the waiters' english are so so. Minor point is the place is a bit small, tables being very close together. Better book a table if you're planning to eat during busy evening hours.

A great lunchtime spot with a really good value menu. There are very few places in Chamonix you can eat for €9 including tea or coffee. I am not a Japanese food expert but always enjoy the meals here. Be sure to book as it gets very busy. They do takeaway meals as well, including big trays of sushi.

Simple dining, good value but don't expect a great sushi experience - friendly staff, reasonable price - just not the best quality food

We had the lunch menu which fantastic and great value. One tip, make sure you book! We missed out on the first day and made sure we booked for the next day. The toilet is definitely worth a visit - technology at its finest!

Authentic, fresh Japanese food in the French Alps. What more could you ask for? I was happy to eat there two out of my four nights in Chamonix. The miso is real, the fish is nicely cooked, and the sauces taste homemade. The staff is all Japanese and very friendly. Prices are reasonable. After a day hiking or skiing, I... More

In spite of other reviewers' comments, we felt this restaurant offers real value for money. Their set menu for lunch and dinner is fantastic - quite a variety and good price for real taste of Japanese food. Their sashimi (raw fish) is really tasty, you forget how far this place is from the sea - obviously there are cost implications... More

Obviously the nearest sea is quite far away so fish is naturally going to be expensive. One of our group had to order more food as the first portion was too small. Having worked in a Japanese restaurant in the past, the food here is nothing special. A bottle of Kirin beer is €4.50, about the standard for Chamonix. The... More
