A very nice and small restaurant with a great outdoor area. The wine list is quite large and the food is very good. Definitely try and book outside if you can.
The outside dining area is nice for lunch and watching people passing by. The food is fancy and tasty, but also very expensive. We're talking 50€ or so for an entrecoté. The service is ok, and everything is pretty much as you'd expect in a restaurant of this price range. Somehow, though, today we felt something was missing. The soul... More
Popped in for supper around 8pm. Delicious meal - steak cooked to perfection / delightful fresh salad and tasty starters. Service excellent. Thought seating alittle cramped as they have packed tables in. One of a plethora of good food restaurants in St Tropez at typical St Tropez prices.
This restaurant has changed management & the menu is different from last year. We had a great evening on the later sitting - loved the music the DJ played & it turned into a party atmosphere later - people dancing etc. The outside doors are closed & it becomes a club atmosphere. So you get more than just a meal... More
Untill this year this reataurant used to be one of my favourites, but i am not planning to go there anymore. It is quite expensive, which is not strange in st tropez, but you don't get value for money. -the music is so loud from the beginning of the evening that you have to scream to understand the people at... Had diner with my wife a few nights ago. Lovely out door seating with curtains hung along the wall. Attentive, effeicient service. I had a lovely Lobster tagliatelle with a spicy tomato sauce. My wife had seared Tuna which she was deliciosu. Close to a 4 star from me. Good food at reasonable prices - would happily return again
Its a shame since Joeph sold the Grand Joseph to his sister things have changed. She now owns Bora Bora on the Pampelonne Beach and enjoys nights out in Saint Tropez with her new Beau. The new manager is tasked with amking as much money from Grand Joseph to support Bora Bora and does not give a flying F**K about... More
Went with my wife, following advice of a colleague who visits this restaurant whenever she is around. Reservation: I made a reservation about a week in advance and there was not a problem. There are two seatings, one at 10:30pm and the earlier one around 6/7. I did not specify indoor/outdoor but you are better advised to do that not... More
Such a disappointment. We were hassled by street vendors, and when we asked our server for help she literally just walked away. My food was not as described on the menu, and when I asked about it, she said she checked with the kitchen, and they couldn't remember whether they had made it right or not, sorry. In addition to... I do not realy remember the food. I think it was not bad, but the main impression that Le Grand Joseph has left behind is that my wife ordered a fish that was not available that day and that they suggested another fish. Only they forgot to mention that this dish did not cost 35€ euro as the dish ordered... More
