We started with anchovy paste and vegatables, and foie gras salad, next had olive ravioli, then stake tartar and duck breast in truffle sauce....delicious. Then 3 small sumptuous deserts and coffee. We arrived at 7:30pm as the first customers, then the place filled up. The service was great, with some English spoken. Overall excellent experiance. It's a little off the...

Great little family run restaurant. I'd highly recommend the salad with foie gras. The price was very reasonable for the food we had. A four course dinner for a party of four along with a bottle of house wine came to €128. Try it for yourself!!
Out of the way, 5 mins walk off the promenade des anglais.
We had lunch for 3 people. Husband and wife run the restaurant, she is front of house, husband cooks. A little bit of english spoken (very little)
We had a chicken liver salad, gnocchi with roquefort sauce and beef fillet with truffle sauce. All meals were superb.

Slightly off the beaten (tourist) track, this family run restaurant is well worth seeking out. We thought that the food was full of flavour and represented excellent value for money. Unpretentious decor belies the fact the chef is on top of his game producing food prepared with a delicate touch. Most importantly the ingredients are fresh, and the service is...

We were there for dinner yesterday. The food was delicious (and freshly made), the service very attentive. Great value for money (especially the 4-course "menu du chef" for €28). Location: certainly "off the beaten track" in Lonely Planet's terms - great. Anytime again. The high ranking is well-deserved.
Good little place well away from Nice's endless tourist trap restaurants. There was no filet steak left on the night we went (tuesday), but apart from that we enjoyed our meal here. I rated Le Dauphin Nicois 'average' only because tripadvisor still doesn't have a 'good' rating...and there's a huge difference between 'average' and 'very good'. Would probably go back......
