Found this place accidentally while walking around the old town. Turned out to be a great meal. Well-executed dishes coupled with good service and atmosphere, it was a perfect end to a wet and rainy weekend in Nice. Where is Spring??.?.

We were 6 persones and had booked in advance.
After reviewing all the positive comments on Tripadvisor we were looking forward to a great food experience, but I have to admit I was a bit disappointed. The service was slow and they did not have enough meat for the wok dishes we ordered. Then again when the wok dishes arrived...

After seeing so many positive reviews on Tripadvisor, I arrived with big expectations and unlike the previous comment, I was not disappointed whatsoever. From the moment we walked through the door, Diego & Mariana and the entire 'Papayou' staff made us feel very welcome in this intimate spirited restaurant. I'm not a massive fan of French cuisine, but the food...

This is just a wonderful restaurant. If you want to try something different, then the Thai influenced menu will satisfy you, and the Nicoise specialilties are as good as anything in Nice.
There are so many restaurants in Nice that you are sure to choose both the wrong one and the right one if you dine out frequently. For us, the service, the food and the wine were so lovely at Papayou, giving us an incentive to come back, and to reccomend it to friends. We were there on two occasions, and...

A little gem if you can find it-Thai and French Fusion which works amazingly, great service, great location also as off the tourist path and brilliant food each time i've been over the last few years. I'd definitely recommend giving it a try!
We entered Papayou just because we liked the decor and environment, with no preconceived idea of what to expect. It was delicious, simple and a wonderful surprise. Kind and efficient service. The food was a tribute to the local ingredients and savoir faire. We just loved it.
Following excellent reviews on tripadvisor, I took two friends to Papayou 2 nights ago. Food was delicious - but the gentleman who served us was proper rude. His default language seemed to be 'no' or 'no time', in a abrupt and irritated way. We felt us being there was inconvenience to him. Such as shame though - as it could...

Staff speak English and aren't afraid to use it!
Food is a selection of Asian, French and Italian.
The portions are good too.
We had veg spring rolls (three large), marinated salmon with Creme fraiche.
And for mains Gnocci with sausage and aubergine risotto. All delicious.
Had a drink in the lovely Les...

This restaurant offers a fusion (as defined by the French) of italian, french and thai food. The service was pleasant and friendly, offering the choice to sit inside and out and also gave us the time to eat and talk as well.
The food as with most restaurants in the area are simple dishes but cooked well. The choice on...
