Words are simply not adequate to describe our dining experience at Le Ble Noir on May16th. If you are in Carcassonne, you simply MUST eat here. Prices are very reasonable for the quality of food and the service is excellent.

It was their crepe caramel beurre sale that nailed it for me. The mains were very good too, as was the salad with goats cheese. A fine balance between tradition and reativity with house-special inventions (far too many creperie mess things up with inventing new recipes for the sake of being different). Highly recommended. Will go back again tonight for...

We stumbled on this restaurant walking back from the Cite. It was a real pleasure to eat there. The food is so beautifully presented and the tastes were first class. As well as crepes and galettes, there were delightful looking salads. The savoury galette I had was delicious, my only regret being, it did not leave any room for a...

We ate here a few times during a week long stay in Carcassonne and were never disappointed by the food, the ambience or the extremly friendly service. The crepes are wonderful - simple, full of flavour and great value. We left happy and full each time. Make sure you leave room for the dessert crepes - they are out of...

The café/restaurant is welcoming, comfortable, and clean, and serves delicious tasty, pretty food. Other diners varied from smartly dressed French "ladies who lunch", to families and tourists.
This place is already highly rated (which explains the large number if English-speaking patrons) on TripAdvisor but I'll add my opinion as well. The food is based on Breton cuisine and every item is a work of art to eat as well as look at.
The staff spoke some English, the decor was nice, the cider was fresh-apple delicious, and...

We arrived in Carcassonne from USA, hungry, but too tired to go out. Our hotel was a cab ride away from downtown city center, so we planned on eating at hotel. Reviews for hotel restaurant were like most when reviewing "hotel food" -- warnings that the food was mediocre at best and highly overpriced! I was traveling with parents and...

We actually only ate crepes for dessert (very good, big and nicely presented) and had andoilletes and a very good confit de canard as main dishes. I think it was a great value for the price. It was really packed so we had to wait to get in. But it was worth it! The owners were very nice too.
Good selection of crepes made with buckwheat flour and salads served in little crepe cups. Bill with wine was 39 Euro.
Simply excellent food!!! What else can i say? Quality, taste, presentation, and attention to detail were all there. We couldn't believe how lucky we were since we just stumbled onto this place, deciding, at the last minute, we wanted crepes for our last night in Carcassonne. While we were there, we had a nice chat with one of the owners....
