We loved the price fix menu since we were 12 (2 tables). Bertrand couldn't have been more accommodating and personable. Everyone enjoyed the soup of the day, which was plentiful..the lamb shoulder was tender and tasty. The restaurant was narrow, but clean and cozy. We hated to leave...a great first night in Paris choice.

This was hands down our favorite meal in Paris. We loved the no menu approach; you eat what they bring you and it was all great. Started with creamy sweet potato soup, then a wonderful pork and whipped cauliflower meal, cheese course, and dessert. The total (with a 43€ bottle of wine) was under 120€ for two people. Also a... We booked Les Papilles well in advance of our trip to Paris, after reading many a wonderful review - not just on trip advisor. Les Papilles is one of the most reviewed restaurant on trip advisor in paris and stands at present at no 23, that telling a story in itself. This was going to be our first meal in... More

Quirky, dainty and absolutely packed. The walls are lined with wine, the floor is a miracle of tiny mosaics. Visually very appealing & we were welcomed warmly. Please do be aware that this is a set menu restaurant and you get what happens to be the chefs choice at the market daily, i.e. a four course meal, you pay for... More

We had a wonderful meal here - owner was great in explaining what was to be served, and the meal was fantastic. It was our first meal in Paris, and set a high standard for the rest of our visit. We also purchased a bottle of wine with help from Bertrand - our favorite type of souvenir!

The was one of the two best meals we had in Paris, and top 10 worldwide! I learned about Les Papilles through a magazine article which listed the top 10 wine bars in Paris. I was interested because the article said that the food was great and the wines were different and offered at retail prices with a small corkage... More

We dined here twice before, providing an excellent review, despite my issues with the duck. Against my wife's better instincts, I booked another reservation for our latest Paris trip. Remembering that my duck was simply awful - an experience I didn't want to repeat - I called the day before to ask about the main course. The owner answered the... More

"Foodies" would Not accept a wine bottle that was opened and tasted by other people before being served to them. And then Pay full price for the bottle! Unacceptable practice by the rude owner...! Name one other restaurant in Paris that does not provide an option to a set menu...?

Best meal in Paris, and that says a lot, as we are foodies. Be advised that this is a "set menu" restaurant, which offers a four course meal (no options), at one price. If you are a picky eater or need choices (or are a control freak), this restaurant may not be for you. This beautifully decorated bistro showcases its... More

My husband and I booked a dinner here on the numerous excellent reviews we had read. We forgot to confirm our booking, which the staff were unhappy about. We noticed immediately that the patrons were mostly, if not entirely, english speaking north americans, 90 percent of whom were over the age of 50. Our dinner was well cooked, especially the... More
