We never even got to order. The worst service i have received anywhere. They clearly did not want us there.

What a great find! Genuinely local old-style restaurant with wonderful food and excellent wine by bottle or carafe (the Gamay was delicious). The cheese board is astonishing with twelve kinds of cheese (you help yourself to as much as you want), but the daily fixed price menu at 26 euros (weekdays only) offers a terrific range of provincial and classic...

Walk away from all the ghastly bars and brasseries facing the station, with their 'menu by photo' routine - which kind of says it all really... A few minutes away is this find - a bistrot like the old days. Not fancy-dan decor but good, honest French food. And decent wines too.
Carve out a few hours before your train...

We have visited Paris a lot and like to try and find recommended local French restaurants to eat in. This time was a day trip and we wanted somewhere near the Gare du Nord for an early dinner before the return train journey. I had checked the time out guide and trip advisor and was really looking forward to our...

When I bought a flat in this area about 10 years ago, I took every one of my friends to this French bistro beautifully located on the Place Franz Liszt, with the Eglise St Vincent de Paul looming before it. I can still remember the thyme ice-cream I had there..sublime! Ten years on, and the place is still going strong,...

No tipping the hat to modish trends here, and the era of nouvelle cuisine passed it by and was regarded with disdain. Soups, pates & terrines, salads, grills, stews, traditional desserts and a...

Been many times and always enjoyed. Great place to eat outside btw as it as on a peaceful place behind at the nave end of a big church. Weather was nice in March and we ate out - wife and Irish Parisian pal. Food is always excellent, service friendlier than most in Paris, wine is served carafe wise or bottle...

I have just left this restaurant. It was a fantastic French experience my beef was amazing the wine was beautiful the cheese board had some of the best cheese I have ever had. Everything was correct for the style even down to the harassed waitress. That's the only criticism one more waitress would make it better! All round great
