My wife and I came here for some authentic french food and good service. According to Trip Advisor (which has been fabulous and life-saving in many ways), this restaurant seemed like a great place to go. The place looked good, so did the menu. Price also seemed reasonable. Before ordering, we translated items on the menu with our translator on... More

I had seen this mentioned in recommended restaurants in the 6eme arrondissement on the Paris forum. We arrived at about 8.30 on a Thursday night, and we got one of the last free tables. It reminded me of a bistro of about a generation ago. The menu was short, and good value at 21€ for 2 courses. The food was delicious... More

Just off the bustling Bd Saint-Michel, my family (me, wife, two kids 13, 11) arrived at 6:45 on a Friday night,we were the only people in this quaint, traditional bistro. Like clockwork, at 7:00 the restaurant filled with locals, couples and groups of friends, clearly not tourists and likely locals after a week of work, frequenting a local favorite. Despite... More

Cafe de La Tourelle on 5, rue Hautfeuille is one of our favorite places to visit when my wife and I are in Paris. It's easy to find as rue Hautfeuille runs between Bvd St. Germain & Rue des Ecoles de Medecine. This is a traditional French cafe that serves all the old favorites. The Salad gesier(s) is to die... We dined here twice on our short trip, slightly embarrassed to come back to the same restaurant in a city so full of them, but knowing we would be fully satisfied if we did. And we were right. The husband and wife proprietors are fully in command of this charming spot and they know what they're doing. In a neighborhood... More

We have been eating at this restaurant for many years, since before it relocated to the 6me Arr. about 11 yrs ago. (Formerly Chez Robert near Place des Vosges). Just off St. Germain near the St-Michel metro. M. Robert & his wife Cristina are gracious hosts & the food is always good: my husband's favorite duck confit ANYWHERE...a delicious chevre... More

We found this tiny restaurant (5, rue Hautefeuille, very near Place St. Michel) by chance, near our hotel. It is good comfort food and nicely priced; 24 euro for entree, main, and dessert in 2009. I gave it high ratings because of it's great value and delicious meals for what you pay. This is not a Michelin-starred restaurant, nor is... More
