Description: Located near the Eiffel Tower, this charming Parisian bistro offers a particularly warm and cozy atmosphere. Enter in a plum tone and light wood decor with comfortable side benches, and discover an elegant room where visible stones play the contrast with the wood. The owner, a former surgeon lover of wines, emphasizes a beautiful selection illustrated by around thirty references proposed by the bottle or glass. In the kitchen, the chef cooks traditional French dishes with fresh produce and quality and makes it a point to vary the pleasures. The menu changes according to market. Hot sausage, herring fillets potato salad, Osso Buco, stew, roast bar, have already been enrolled in the slate. The restaurant is open for lunch from 12 noon to 2:30 pm on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Sunday and for dinner from 7 pm to 10:30 pm every evening except Monday.

We ate here May 13, 2012. Monsieur Firmin was very welcoming, as was his waitress. We had the first reservation of the evening, so had the small space to ourselves for about 15 minutes. They spoke French with me, and easily switched to English for my husband. He had a truly unique Terrine St. Jacques (a pate-like seafood appetizer) and... More

We happened to see this restaurant on tripadvisor.com and reserved a table through thefork.com (could also have used the restaurant website: http://www.firminlebarbier.fr). The restaurant is located about two streets away from the Eiffel tower. The food was very good, although the choice was very limited. We had delicious pumpkin soup, and fish (prawns and scallops) as the main dish. Including... More

We are staying literally around the corner from Fermin. Upon scoping out the neighborhood the first day we walked past and made a reservation for that night. So here's the story. The owner and the waitress are were both warm and charming. The food was very good but not a knockout by any means for Paris, but the entire experience... More

My new fiancee and I celebrated our engagement here at the very end of March 2011. We happened upon it after being told there was a very good bistrot in the area. The owner was very welcoming to make room for us even though it was about 10pm and we didn't have a reservation. The steak was fantastic and the... More

My boyfriend and I dined here two times during our vacation to Paris, and both meals were divine. We found Firmin le Barbier by chance on a walk during our first night in Paris. From the moment we asked for a table, we felt like we had "come home" in Paris. Both experiences were so perfect, they are almost indescribable.... More

If you want to see the lights twinkle on the Tour Eiffel every hour on the hour after dinner, this is the right location for doing just that. The restaurant is just off the Champs de Mars, is a moderately priced, small place that has a warm atmosphere and a charming owner, Firmin, who enjoys chatting with his customers. The... More

I booked this place via 'The Fork.com' before we left for Paris after reading the reviews on TA and knowing it was close to the Eiffel Tower. This restraunt is small, but lovely. We both had a starter and a main course, I think the menu changes frequently. The service was friendly and quick. Our starters were lovely (pate and... More

This was a great find in a touristy area. Very small and non-descript. Service, food and wine were all excellent. Book this hotel for dinner and then you can see the Eiffel Tower light up at night as you walk out of the front door of the restaurant. More
