We got lucky when we found this place for dinner our first night in Paris.
The people who run it are fun and pleasant and quirky. It's a small restaurant with about 1.5 seatings per night; get there early or risk not getting a place.
At some point they cut off new seatings and don't replace them, but both nights...

La Grange was our second night out for dinner. We were still trying to get a handle on speaking a least a little French and the owner was quite willing to assist. There was an English written menu available which he informed us he had done by an English friend of his.

Our trip to La Grange was very out-of-the-blue. V had a hankering for fondue, and we quickly fell in love with the Mouffetard district (street) of Paris. We popped in on a hunch and were pleasantly satisfied.
Food was top notch, in a city with smaller portions and enormous bills, we were very happy with the Fondue that we got....
