Pastries are wonderful (especially those with chocolate). Stay away from the 'canale' (unless you like your pastry soaked in rum or cognac). Also, the sandwichs are OK, but stick with the pastries (their specialites)

I know everyone raves about other patisseries for macarons, but since my fave is chocolate Paul's really is the best! The ratio of ganache to pastry is perfect. Also, these are the large macarons! I finally perfected the best way to get them home to the States: ziplock baggies! Saran wrap didn't work as well as two in one sandwich...

Paul is everywhere in Paris, subway stations, parks, etc. Really enjoyed the sandwiches, apple tarts. Any time I get a chance to go to Paris I will grab a sandwich there.

Some of the best Quiche Lorraine I have ever had, and a delightful selection of fresh, tasty pastries. We had one (on Rue Opera) nearby, and the take away prices for great sandwiches, pastries, etc. were very reasonable. We saw several locations, even a cart-style location in the Jardin des Tuilieries and one in the Metro! When in doubt and...

We stopped at the Paul by St Michel every morning before starting our day to get a ham/cheese sandwich and salami sandwich along with a pastry. We tried a different pastry each morning and they were all delicious! Unfortunately not enough time to try them all. It's cheaper to get take away, so we would just get everything to go...

We wanted savory croissants and got them here. Loved the quiche lorraine and vegetable quiche (crust was croissant). Also enjoyed their apple and apricot croissants and cafe cremes. If you go to the Paul on Blvd San Michel and it's too cold to be outside, go upstairs and sit by the windows. But, be warned: Not cheap! 2 savory quiches,...

Paul has become a major chain bakery/restaurant. Sometimes the food is good - other times - not that great.

It was like eating at an Au Bon Pain or Atlanta Bread Company in the states. Classic, hearty sandwiched and salads and at a very good price for lunch or dinner.

Stopped for a quick coffee and sandwich at Paul in the Champs Elysees, the service was fast but unfortunately the limited amount of indoor tables were all taken. This meant sitting outside which proved to be uncomfortable due to the attentions of dozens of Pigeons! The outside bin was overflowing so there were plenty of morsels to attract the birds.On...

Went to the cafe in St Germain de Pres. Line to the door every time (for 4 days) for the bakery counter....tarts were great, bread was perfect, croissants were just as you would imagine they would be. Didn't have time in 4 days to sample everything (darn!) but it all looked great.
Open from 7:30 to 8 pm 7 days...
